VE Injector Line Nut Thread

Postby T Dye » Thu Apr 21, 2016 7:22 am

Hello all,

I'm working on a VE pump swap to run a 24v motor. I have most everything I need to do the swap aside from the pump. It was re-purposed for another truck.

The question I have is; does anyone know what the thread size is for the connection between the injector lines and the pump? I have been trying to find it but, being as I don't have the pump in my possession to measure the thread, and can't seem to find it online, I pose the question to you.

I want to mate the VP44 lines to the VE pump this is why I ask. I have been able to find out that the two pumps have different threads but that's as far as I have gotten.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer,
Travis

Ellis put helicoils on his and the lines went right on the VE pump. He'll be along soon and I'm sure he knows what size it was. It may also be posted in his chevy thread, I think that is the truck he put it in.

Look on Amazon, search timesert. It's a internal/external threaded bushing used to repair treads. Pump delivery valve threads is 12x1.5 and the 24v lines are 14x1.5

I'll just go look for the things for you.

Those timeserts are pretty much the best thing ever.

I think it's these

Do your research on them as I have forgotten the numbers I've used.

Fatty is right, they kick ass.....way better than the old fashioned coiled flat wire.
