Piston options

Postby Kobane » Sat May 14, 2016 10:35 pm

I have a 93 6bt. May be performing a 0.020" overbore, and if so will be requiring new Pistons. Going with a mild build of no more than 400whp I think OEM Pistons are a good option. But my local Cummins dealer has priced them out to over $400 a piece with wrist pins. What else is out there for options, I don't need anything better than OEM. I hear that Mahle is OEM supplier, after looking all I can seem to find is Marine style bowls.

Who has some part #, and are they at a minimum OE quality, and who is the vendor. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you have the cummins part number punch it into e-bay. You should get lots of results that are less money and maybe aftermarket part numbers to search farther with.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
