fuel pins

Postby odee » Sun Jun 12, 2016 6:29 am

I have a 85 gmc 2wd ccd that we tow with. Truck has swapped in 89 model dodge cummins with the getrag, have put second gen intercooler and turbo with exhaust brake on engine. Looking for a little more power and rpm out of engine truck is running 3.73 rear gear with a 235/85/16 tire. Would also like to drop exhaust temp some have seen 1100 on long pull. Any ideas would be great. thanks

Well a good fuel pin would be from The Hungry Diesel.com Eric makes his Own pin that fuel's better then the Other's Out there . as for the egt's If all your seeing is 1100 then your good to go .These engines were designed to run at 1250 egt's all day Long . Is your Probe in the Manifold or Down Pipe ?

I second that. A 3200 gov. spring will let you full-fuel to 2900ish (variables of course) or so. Better than running on flywheel momentum by 2400 :D

Not too bad, honestly a lot better than I thought it would be. Took me and a bud 40 mins on a 1st try. Just be careful with the tophat/spring assembly so you don't lose parts.
