Lol, it's alright Ellis. I'm not in a huge rush, I don't DD it anymore so it's not up on the to do. I've thought about the electric fans to remove that power draw from the engine as well. Just something I'm toying with the idea of.

I run them on the Chevy. I do not haul much with it tho.....not a lot of truck to be working with. I have pulled a B22 kubota backhoe on a 16' bumper pull trailer tho. Fans kept that cool but doubt they'd cool a serious load.

Checked on the fan clutch thing. I have two,one from a 95 the other from a 2001. The 95 clutch is identical to the 1stgen clutch. The 2001 is physically larger and is longer from hub threads to fins. It also sets the fan bolt flang closer to the motor by about 3/8ths of an inch. I don't think it'll hit anything but it may make removing the belt a pain.

If the electric fan thing doesn't look like it'll work out let me know and I'll send this newer one to you. The 95 clutch is limber, therefore I doubt it would work well.

Why not buy a new clutch?? I bought one from O'reilly's and it seems to be working good.

If I would have known it I would have gave you my old one as I don't think it was horribly bad, but I already scrapped it because I didn't think I'd have a use for it.

Like I told ya before, get an electric pusher so it'll help when at idle and what not ;)

Is there room between the grill and condenser for a fan? Most all are 2 1/2" thick or more.

I'm sure he can find something in a wrecking yard that may work...if not, I'd go with dual electric pullers. I installed a pair in my brothers old 02, they worked amazingly well, variable speed and all. IIRC they were a Flex-a-lite unit, spendy but worth it in that application. He lived in GA when he was in the service, he had a fair amount if idle time with the air conditioning on waiting to get on post. Those fans worked well enough that his a/c stayed cold and the engine would maintain temperature in the 90F+ weather...

There isn't any room for a fan in front of the rad support. I've got the PS cooler tight up against it and the condenser mounted infront of that, damn close to the grille, had to shave a little off.

That may be a problem then. If you have a lot of air gap between the rad and a2a/condenser (or huge air gaps) where the fan can pull its air thru. How much space is between the rad and cooler?
