I'm way late on this but I'll throw a nod to Eric's piston pumps. I just skimmed so it might have been mentioned, but has the stock diaghram lp been ruled out as far as the oil diluting goes? If it takes a dump it will put fuel in the oil.

I've got a "factory" 6bt dual fuel filter head I need to put on mine. From everything I've read, it will clear everything and is straight bolt on.

If you wanted to try that route these are the parts & numbers you'd need:

The filter head I got off ebay is this number/variant http://www.truckhelp.com/parts/cummins-4989116 ............. or........... http://store.reliableindustries.com/eng ... el-filter/

Here's the same filter head but the Case part #'s http://www.minnpar.com/catalogdescripti ... TER%20HEAD

Stud- J925955
Nut- J903293
Small o-ring- J906695
Big o-ring- J906694

If you think you'd try that route I'll get the #'s off the filters I got for mine. To save a bunch (more) rambling, the filters I finally settled on were 13 micron absolute and 10 micron absolute.
PS: Donaldson gladly gives you the mic ratings for their filters, Fleetgaurd does not.

I got a Walbro 392 pump, Napa 4770 filter heads, Caterpilar water separator and 2 micron particulate, and an obnoxiously large prefilter I probably wont use. I plan to run a 12mmx1.5 to -6an adapter on the ip, -6 back to a tee after filters to provide a gauge port, -6 from filters back to pump and thinking a 1/2" draw straw. Ill fab up my draw straw from stainless here at work, also thinking about running 1/2" stainless tubing from straw to pump. Ive got most of my parts, still need fittings hoses and a more practical prefilter.

Engine is out for reseal and 5 speed swap at the same time. Went with the Valair 13" organic hd clutch.

And I just found out I have two days off in the next three weeks between three jobsites each about six hours from the last.........fun times......

Man you got a lot going on. What all besides reseal are you going to do While the motor is out?

Couple weeks ago I replaced the shaft seal of my ip, fixed the kdp and loctited the case bolts I could get to. Then I saw more fuel in my oil so I pulled both pumps, rigged a hydrostatic test and sae no leaks from ip and a slow weep from lp. So the ip is cleaned and painted on the bench waiting to go back in. I expect Ill have to time the pump from scratch to reinstall, it was off the marks and loose anyway. Im redoing the fuel delivery system from tank to ip, pulling all the auto trans crap for getrag swap, will have the driveshaft redone too. Down the road Ill swap engine xmember for 4x4 unit and get the d60 under the front. Going to be a 2wd truck with a tranfer case hanging down looking dumb for a while....

Did you already loctite the front seal on the ip?

Yes I used red loctite on the ip seal od. Got the engine painted yesterday, three cans of cummins beige and the greaseball is like a new machine 8)
