Valve cover breathers

Postby fatty » Sun Mar 24, 2019 11:20 am

Who on here uses the valve cover crankcase vent system? I put a billet tappet cover on a while back not realizing I would need to redo the crankcase vent. Is one set going to be enough or will I need to do something with the tappet cover vent also? My plan is to get some plugs for the tapper cover holes and only use the valve cover vent if that will be sufficient.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Shoot! I run two of those in addition to the 24v vent on the front of the gear-case.

But yeah, that's kinda high.

Well they have an option a little lower down on the page for the same thing but not OE Cummins parts. That one is $179 with new gaskets so that's what I'd do.

I guess I'll just get 2 of them and see how it goes. Unless Pete's are even cheaper and he is willing to help me out. Pete? What do you say?

Mine are a little cheaper, about 150. I need to recheck prices on them, it's been a while and I know they creep up. Are you sure you need 2?

No but I might as well just for peace of mind. I'd hate to have to buy another one later on.
