Turbos he351 and s363sxe choices

Postby Justgosurfin » Wed Dec 04, 2019 9:41 am

So I decided to go the he351 route for now bc the PO gave me one when I bought the van (1990 12v swapped E350)

Over the next year I think I’ll start doing valve springs and studs to get ready for a s362sxe, but need to make sure it will fit with my flipped manifold and lack of space.

Does anyone have a pic of their 362 with wastegate? Just trying to get an idea of how it’s oriented.

Also any comments on spool time for the borg warner? I drive around town a lot and want quick spool and little to no smoke.

Thanks.

Keep in mind this install is with the stock location manifold that's been flipped . . . .

Thanks that’s exactly what I needed to see. My manifold is flipped.

How much does the wastegate actuator stick out past the compressor housing?

2~3ish inches give or take.

I built it to generally mimic the basic long-block for the purpose of fitting mess to it.
