HELP!!!!!

Postby BlitzKrieg » Sat Jan 12, 2008 1:56 pm

I attempted an at home ip rebuild. Everything seemed to go smoothly but the dam truck won't start. I cracked the injectors and they're spurting fuel on each crank, but no fire. It sounds like it wants to run if you keep trying the starter but it wont fire itself. Any advice would be great

Timing? Did you mark everything inside the pump and put it back together as marked?

I remember someon tried doing a at home rebuild and it was exactly as you described and it was something that was put in backwards.....

we only rebuilt the top end of the pump not the whole thing and i'm 99% sure that it all went back together exactly how i took it apart. I'm still not getting good spurts of fuel it's kinda sloppy so i think it's a priming issue, (fingers crossed). Now just having trouble keeping the battery powered long enough.

Did you reindex the throttle lever correctly?

Hold the throttle open and see if it starts. If it does you probably have the indexing off.
