12 CM?????

Postby CAJUN 93 » Tue Jan 15, 2008 8:36 am

ok, i bought a 12 cm housing and actuator (it says 12 in the port). this exhaust housing has no mounting holes for the actuator cast in it. i learned afterwards that some actuators attach to the compressor side. now i have a htt stg iv on this turbo that i'm installing the 12 on. my question is how do i mount the actuator? if i need to make a bracket i will, but i'de rather use stock parts if possible. anyone got pics of this setup?

I think you have a newer 12cm housing(24V where the actuator head, is mounted to the compressor side)
Take to HTT or who ever your getting the compressor up grade from and see if they have a compressor housing, that fits your turbo...........that has the ear Incorporated into it for the actuator(This would require you getting a actuator from a newer Hx35(24V)
Or find a 12V 12cm housing........................

We built one from some 1/8" stock from tsc. I bolted it to the housing using existing bolts. But since you don't have the compresor to mock it up just make sure it's closed when you measur for your bracket.
