surging

under wide open throttle my motor will sure and jerk back and forth.the boost will die down with it.does this sound like a lack of fuel pressure at higher rpms?if so is it time for a 2nd gen lift pump or an electric pump?

do any of you guys have suggestions for what style of lift pump to go with?i hear that a piston lift pump with the correct pressure setup will perform pretty good but im sure that an electric will beat the sthi out of a piston lift pump for some more bucks...also whats involved with installing a fuel pressure gauge on our trucks?

if you dont plan on goin to wild with the power then a p pump engine piston pump with a bypass regulator would be the ideal setup for the money but if you plan on makin big power than somethin like an aeromotive a 1000 a bypass regulator and some large line are the way to go.

hey guys i wanted to know if anyone had the part number for the piston lift pump that people use for the ves. i think that lift pump is available in two different pressure feed settings and i think the ve needs the lower pressure but maybe not.i want to get this done as soon as possible tho

When I had my stock turbo and lots of fuel I could make my turbo surge in the low RPM. Its like the motor is chuging. The reason for this is you are spooling the heck outta the turbo but the motor doesnt need all that air yet so the turbo "stalls".Basically the air coming out of the compressor hits a road block of compressed air that the motor hasnt used and has no where to go but backwards into the turbo. This is real hard on turbos. If your making lots of boost at low rpm and it feels like the motor is jerky/chugging/surging this may be your problem. Not a bad problem thou, means its time for a turbo upgrade. LOL.

that could be but how about 0-15psi of boost or i could be wrong it could be higher i havent looked at the gauge when its doing it,too much fuel for the stock turbo idea i like a lot :D new s300 will be on order after schields event
