Postby fasttalker83 » Tue Feb 05, 2008 5:05 pm

Ok guys I have the stock H1C and I bought a H1E the compressor housing fits fine but I want to know what would happen if I put the compressor wheel off of the H1E onto the H1C since its bigger what Im really concerned about is the balance if it would throw it off really bad and if Im looking for trouble its not really alot of difference between the 2 (same amount of fins and maybe a 2mm difference) but hey if it works I want to do it help me out guys

Well no one touched this post yet. LOL

The H1E is the early version of an HX40. I don't know of anyone that has changed the wheels to a H1C. Most of the time when people go hybred they use the HX35 housing.

The H1E has the same small shaft as the HX40 so it doesn't like to be barked or overboosted.

it will gain some flow but like phillip said they do not like over boost at all i destroyed a few hx40's on my p pump truck at slightly over 40lbs on a single setup. But if your not tryin to push it to make alot of power it would be ok

Well I found out from the local shop that it will be ok and everything fits the wheel and housing and everything is on the H1C now the only thing left is to see how far it will go before it craps out the balance thing is not a problem right now and will see if it becomes one but they said I should have no problems with that soon to see

i run a turbonetics thats over 100mm on my s 10 and its been apart several times with no balancin and i have had no problems. I have rebuilt several hx35's and several garret powerjoke turbos with no balancin and have never had a problem so you should be fine. just keep the boost under 50psi lol

Thanks for the home work fasttalker. Now if someone wants to do a hybred setup they can use a H1C now.

Those can be found cheap and its the same with a HX40.
