howdy guys again,so to start from the beginnin my truck started a strange tickin that i thought was a valve,i readjusted the valves again and its still doin it,you can hear it threw the grill and undernith the truck :? .but the tickin will go away thats the part i dont get.have you guys heard of this?motor rebuild soon?oh ya im in arkansas for the night before i go to the scheilds event :D and want to go do the dyno one more time to see where im at.good idea or bad idea, and how should i build this motor for towin and have lots of power.im going to oring the head how about fire ringin it, i want to see bout 45psi boost and better than 400 on the dyno,it may be a 2nd gen motor for the p pump i dont know yet thanks guys

We had a gas motor that had a sticky lifter, it would tick sometimes and not others. A can of sea foam fixed it. Most parts stores have that stuff, but I have no idea if it's something you would want to put in a diesel.
Sold 91 now-intercooled W250, 388WHP 923WTQ on #2 only 423WHP 968WTQ on meth 0% correction.

i think i know what it is i got to put the stock injecters in and see if its still tickin,i think im hydrolocking pistion 1 cause it stoped makin noise when i cracked the line to bleed it today

in relevance to your first post about fireringing or o ringing. from what heard (and anyone feel free to put in there input) that fireringing is really only good for a drag race only or sled pull only truck because with firering's you have to re torque the head about every 3 months or something like that. the only benefit to fireringing (again this is what i heard) that it will hold about 30 more lbs of boost then oringing and oringing will still hold about 110 or 120.
93 w250 reg cab. rigged up stock downpipe to 4 inch to 5 inch exhaust from p.o. mild pump tweaks and all other stock for now. Project "smoke a little smoke". www.c-techperformance.com

cool thanks if i can get more info on which would be better thatd be great.i want a kick butt work horse motor with enough power to go and cruise and piss off a lot of mustangs :grin:

Does it have air cond. because on my 94 f350 and air cond will make a clicking noise?
1992 D250 370,000 and counting on the cummins, auto, pump turned up, 6x16, 3200 spring, afc lever mia, boost and pyro guage, single stack, 5 inch lift, shifter with od button on it, potentiomitor..... Next hx40, 285's...

it does have it for now :x but the tickin is from the rear of the engine and the back side of the oil pan

idk them use a short piece of hose up to your ear and pinpoint were its at
