fluxuating idle rpm's

Postby T.winegar » Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:07 pm

the truck has been resurrected- finally! we got it started and had to reset the timing and idle because we lost the key in the process. it has got so much more power now. but, my idle was set at 700 yesterday. when it was cold this morning and i started it, it idled at around 600-650 rpms. after i drive to town and it's warmed up, its sittin at around 900 rpms.

when warm, i can push on the pedal to rev it up, but when i take it off it goes back down, and then up about 100 rpms for a brief second. it kinda goes up and down sometimes i guess. i don't know what we did, but it ain't right for it to be at 950-1000 rpms idling.

what is wrong???
