Postby mtm93ramnasty » Thu Oct 16, 2008 8:58 pm

ive been goin nuts tryn to get the right size freeze plug i measured it and it seemd to be 2 5/16, but i went to the parts store they said its 2 1/4. i put the 2 1/4in and seald it...i startd it up no leak untill i floord it, the damn thing blew right out. also wheres the best place to go to get one ive been to napa, a local auto parts stoor, sg diesel, and my brother works at a mechanics shop and couldnt get one. would advanced auto have the right one? what about a cap for the end of a pipe if i could get the right size

Have a local machine shop make you a set of these...Image

Or you can buy them from Pure Diesel Power for $40.00 each.

Old block heaters work great as well.

Most of the plugs on our engines are 58 mm. Can't get them at NAPA or the crappy auto parts stores. Cummins or a Case/IH dealer.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
