Cold start vid

Postby bgilbert » Sat Feb 03, 2007 10:56 am

Have had this digital camera for over 2 years and just now figured out it has a movie/video option :? . Here is one, horrible quality, but I'll work on getting better ones. This is a 18* cold start, no grid heater, no ether, truck been sitting for 30 days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4QMd4SOtI8

I just started mine an hour ago. 25*, one run of the grids, not plugged in. She spun over half a dozen times before she took off. Been sitting almost 2 months now. Once it fired, it took off pretty smooth. 8)
I had to move it before I lost it in the snowbank!

I was going to get a cold start Vid. but the digital has been in the Freightliner and killed the batteries in the digital do to the cold. But mine wasent started for about 2 weeks, I went out n fired it up Friday morn. n fired right off maybe 1 crank, BUT now my Batt. is on the way out, so shes getting sslllooowwwww but still one full crank, and a little blue haze till its satisfactorilly (is that a word?) warm enough to leave. then the haze clears up.

Last year when my PCM was giving my problems the grids wouldn't work when it was cold. My dad had 5*F up in Beaver Dams, NY and started it, took three tries, but it started. He called me to complain, but stopped when I pointed out that if it happened to our ford he'd probably have to wait till spring to get it started.
