Advancing the timing on a '93 VE pump Cummins.

I have messed with my timing more than i can count with both hands and have not had a problem, if you are worried about cracking a line, loosen them at the back of the pump and tighten them back up when your done setting your timing.

Yep, but they are not bent, at least not in the sense that you have passed the limit of their elasticity. Does that make sense?

How much of a hassle is it to loosen and reattach the lines?


If it was a problem I'm sure ya'll would now, but from where I come from a vibrating pipe with tension applied to it is more likely to crack then the vibrating pipe without the tension. The latter pipe absorbs energy by moving back and forth; the one with tension on it can't move, so instead it shears itself in half... Just sort of strikes me as wrong...
