Thats what I do but my speedo is off by 5mph so my mileage is off a liitle too. I'm going slower than what it says, so that means I'm not traveling as far which means my mileage is actually a little worse than what i calculate.

I practically never check mileage, but here is the few times I have.

#1 D250, manual, 3.54, 235/85/16's, stock injectors, virgin pump (yeah, it's a dually now, but haven't checked the mileage since the conversion)

18 mpg on summer fuel around town
21 mpg on winter fuel heading south of Indy to pick up a turbo kit for my old neon. Ran 75-80 mph most of the way.
23 mpg on summer fuel going to Tire Rack in South Bend to pick up slicks for autocrossing. Ran 70-75 most of the way.

Average Fuel mileage...

Postby Bluebird » Mon Feb 19, 2007 1:49 am

#5a: From 32-fuel stops, the average fuel mileage calculated is 20.05mpg. I use Power Service fuel treatment approximately every 50-gallons used. See my signature for speed and truck mileage.

I was just going to ask what you guys with DRW's get for fuel mileage and I saw this post.

When my truck was a SRW I got averaged about 19-21 mpg. Now that I have converted it to a DRW, the only time I checked it I got about 13 mpg. I noticed that my fuel mileage when way down when I made it a DRW but I didn't think it would be that bad.
