so im starting tonight by removing fenders and hood and all belt acc, plus stuff liek grill support and radiator/ intercooler. then tomoro im loadign her up and headed to a buddies shop to pull the engine and tranny. new main bearigns and all new gaskets besides the head gasket basically. im going to do the tranny front seal also. kill that stupid dowel pin and degrease everything and paint her up good looking. lol wish me good luck haha. will report back soon with progress

well just got back from the shop and sorta bad news. well the naim bearing that holds the crank moving horizontaly was worn bad enough that it made the flex plate eat alittle bit of the housign but nothing serious. but it also wore a pretty good groove in the crank front and rear. so i am in the search for a speedi sleeve and seal. suck casue i already bougt the lower end seal kit which cost $140 an dnow i cant use the seal in it. lol so i called cummins and they said $90 for the front seal and sleeve and im waiting for the guy to call me back on the rear one. woo! more money to cummins and napa. haha that engine block is huge! its crazy how big that sucker is. oh he just called $92 for the rear one! wow $182 for two seals. howp she never leaks another drop. ok off to cummins
now.

Who'd ya talk to at Cummins

My spare motor hs the same thrust bearing trouble
90 W250 reg cab, Modified knuder valve, reversed reciprocting dinglearm adjusted, High volume flux capacitor,upgraded whirlygig, A clutch and a hitch
93 W350 ext cab dually, getrag and a few adjustments

i think i talked to larry. hes the parts guy up there. found out that someone has already been to my engine they replaced the rear seal and main and rod bearings. the rods look brand new btu just the thrust bearing on mains are bad. so just throwing the mains in adn the speedi sleeve and seal. hopefully she will be back together tonight.

Next time talk to Jim or Ray, there pretty good even if you don't have any numbers to work with. You can usualy con a hat or somthin out of them

I think Larry would be lost without his computer :?

haha yeah i will try adn do that next time. got her all back together and in. i still have all my fenders off, so im going to paint those and the hood. and throw a rocker panel on the drivers side. i think im going to do the 366 spring also. since now fenders = easy access.

yup i just got to drive her today. no leaks so far well besides one coolant line from the heat exchanger and a front brake line desided to leak now lol. it sounds diffrent now for some reason. but new main bearings might have tighens some play up. oh and i have a boost leak somewhere also. its only seeing 37 lbs now. and it used to be around 44lbs or so. im goign to start looking for some good sillicon ones soon.
