Are you talking about the intercooler kit? As far as I know, Bank$ discontinued anything that had to do with a 1st Gen.

Try looking on Ebay, you might get lucky.

While we're on the subject, how does the Bank$ intercooler compare to the stock 1st Gen intercooler?

Banks made atleast 2 kits. They made a kit for a non intercooled truck before the factory started putting them in. ( My 89 had one installed in 1991 by 1st owner ). It was a small intercooler, intake pipe ( cooler tubes), and also came with a tube grill as the stocker would not fit without trimming. I have heard that they also could come with a different turbo or turbo housing. Then when the factory started putting in coolers they made a " better" cooler that would go in place of the stock unit. I outgrew my kit and updated to the powerstroke unit. Crossy on dtr has an original new old stock banks kit for the pre intercooled trucks. They were ok for mild power settings.

my crew had a banks ic in it. it kept it cool enough to run 1000deg on the pyro, running pod's and pulling a 24' enclosed trailer at 70 mph. my non ic 91 with pod's and 2 cranks on the pump would bury the pyro empty.

The kits for the I/C trucks were availabe up until a few years ago

A friend of mine put one in his truck about 5 years ago. It came with 14cm gated housing, 3.5" turbo back exhaust with a muff, and the I/C

Not worth the money in my opinion

Almost afraid to ask, but how much did one of those kits run? I can't imagine it being cheap.

I think the kit for the I/C trucks was in the ballpark of $1800 and the N/Ic setup was around 2200$

Lot of uninformed people hear "diesel" and instantly think super expensive (we have found that to not be so in recent years), and companies like Banks, etal, take advantage of it. Not to say their products are bad- I heard their exhaust is good and lasts, but they are still super pricey.

I remember the days of cheap PW-185 injectors and 16cm housings putting you in the mid 200s range for HP, and that was thought to be running on the ragged edge of dependability for the VE pump
