Im not sure on the removal of the lines but I am pretty sure you are talking about the condensor

On which rig? Are they nuts or clips? If they are nuts, just turn them. If they get tight, plan on replacing both pieces and twist them off. Once they get tight, no way to save them, the threads wadded up in there.
I've never had the clip type off. Yet.

I figured it out. I was trying to take apart the A/C lines where they attach to the condenser. There is a small rectangular block with a bolt through the middle. Take out the bolt, shake it a little and watch the carnage.
