fluctuating water temp/amp gauges

Postby swank » Mon Apr 02, 2007 11:32 am

i thought i saw something on this a while ago, but a search on dtr didn't bring anything up. my water temp gauge and my amp gauge seem to be on holiday right now. the h2o will bounce between the two pegs and makes quite a bit of noise. the amp gauge doesn't go that far, but always seems to be going from min. to max. in a hurry (and back again). anybody deal with this yet? thanks.

chasis is the back of the block to firewall, PCM is by the battery cable.

i looked for the chassis one, couldn't find it. i'm thinking that's what it is though, because it doesn't do it when i'm accelerating. maybe the rotation of the engine gives it good contact or something. what kinda cable am i looking for? thanks for the help brian.

It won't hurt to add a chassis ground.
