yea, you gotta change the entire front timing cover and gear. and then get all the proper conversion lines and linkage. BUT MAN IS IT WORTH IT!!!

im entertaining the idea of a ppump swap in my truck anyone know if the angle of the ppump injector lines is the same angle as the injectors on my non-icd head? i just had a ppump 12 valve from a bus fall on my lap im young and greedy for power... i have the whole motor available if anyone wants a short block/misc parts and or if anyone reallyyy wants the ppump conversion

The ppump sticks use a different thread where the injector line goes on. The placement in the head is the same on all 12v motors just the spray pattern of the injector is different.

To P pump a 1st gen engine dont you run the P pump injector bodies with the 1st gen nozzles to keep the correct spray pattern?

you dont have to get a new timing cover just the new gears the p pump will bolt on where the vp did

YEAH, not to mention that you would keep two running engines that way instead of one dismembered engine and one freankensteined engine. 8)

thats what im thinking....i want to keep the ve a mostly stock engine and try to gona try to keep the allison at545 behind the ppump motor those are UNBREAKABLE even iff i have to use a 55 gallon drum as a trans tunnel in the cab :) but that would mean a divorced transfercase and i dont want to get that deep so ill probably do a getrag when the time comes

Whe I worked on buses we had a pile of burnt up at545 trans. They work fine until ya start puttin the power to them. I have done a few p pump conversions on a ve motor and I think it is easier to just do the whole engine swap.
