Bellhousing adapter

Postby DDT » Wed Dec 16, 2009 6:06 pm

I have obtained a 47rh transmission and need the adapter from the same donor....95 2500.. I have been unable to get the torque converter off because the engine was given the cash for clunkers lockdown treatment and I can't turn it to access the converter bolts. Somebody stop me before I light the torch!

Is the engine out? If so, pull the pan and loosen the bearing caps, should turn then. If not, torch time! 8)

Or, just order a good converter, and turn in your old one in the truck as a core.
FYI, lockup converters are usually about $1200.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
