ok so my truck seems to be using about 1 quart of oil about every 500mi :( , no leaks dosent smoke horrible but get blue smoke under acceleration and at high boost, its not a ton of smoke but enough to see. im new to diesels so what do you guys think is going on? truck has around 160k on it and is bone stock.

Some diesels I've driven, not necessarily these trucks in particular, dont like to be filled all the way up to the full mark. They would run about a quart or two low (some were big trucks so 2 quarts isnt alot). Big thing with diesels as far as taking care of them is letting them warm up before driven hard. With 160K it should be in good shape if it was taken care of by previous owner

i had a turbo seal leaking into the intercooler. took a while to find that one. no smoke and no leaks, i figured it had to be going somewhere.

Take a look where the tube goes in the bottom of the I/C if its leaking oil it will be puddled up there, i had a 99 24v that driped oil out of that joint. :D Darwin
