I would just take the plunger and spring out of the solenoid and put it back in. 8)

If you're gonna gut the fuel solenoid, be sure NOT to connect power to it. Without the plunger, the coil can overheat and possibly short out and/or leak. ;)

I tapped mine for a half inch pipe plug after it started leaking past the plastic body:

I just got my new shutoff solenoid in the mail and installed it. I figured I'd get yuou guys opinions on this, when I started the truck up it would not stay running withou a lil throttle, like the idle was too low. So I adjusted the idle and all is well, but just as I figured, Im now lacking some power, about 6-8 lbs of boost less than before. Any ideas or opinions are welcome. Thanks

I dont think so. It acts like the index on the trottle shaft moved. It runs good and smooth, no smoke at all, not even black anymore. Like I said, it seems like the index on the throttle shaft is off but it was untouched

I havent compared them, but if the plunger on the new solenoid was a lil longer than the old one could it possibly cause this type of problem?

Could... Since the stock plunger was still OK and it was just the electrical part that burned up can you swap plungers?
