Injection Pump Diagrams

Postby oldestof11 » Sat May 05, 2007 7:52 am

I am looking for diagrams for our injection pump, the VE. The reasoning is this. I have the mechanical know-how and the equipment to maybe mod one of these. I was a (actually still am, just only when the demand excedes the workers) machinist. I can get everything down to a 1/1,000th of an inch  I can read pictures  I prefer on-line pics as the easy access is great! Thanks for any info you guys might have!

Is that .001" tolerance or .000001"?

.001 but we can, if we try real hard, get it down to 0.0001. The main thing is the comparator. We have the equipment to grind, lathe, broach, mill, drill, you get the picture. I am NOT gonna try the 14mm pump or anything that requires more the 0.001. I know about high pressures. I have seen pics of water cutting 1" steel :!: I dont wanna get myself or other guys hurt because of my fiddling. If you suggest not to, then I won't but I wanna take a look at it.

Swank, it should be in my profile now. I just enabled the email thingy.

the .0001 is the kind of tolerances the pump requires for fit. you can actually hold the plunger in your hand and the heat from it will make it no longer fit the head. short of making heads or canplates there arent any real mods to be made inside the injection pump.
