Steel core intake plate gasket

Postby bgilbert » Sat May 05, 2007 12:54 pm

Brian or anyone know if Cummins sells a steel core intake plate/cover gasket? I see Haisley advertises one, I'm wondering if it's a Cummins piece or aftermarket. I know you can get steel core grid heater gaskets from Cummins, part number 3969988. I'm not sure if I'm naming them correctly as 'steel core'. They are the heat resistant type and the material looks like exhaust manifold gaskets I've replaced on old gasser Dodge's.

Brian, what do you recommend ? This will be under the air to water cooler, and maybe some twins down the road, so boost will/could be high. 50psi already.

Thanks. I'll call Haisley's and see if they'll take one to Bowling Green for me. Or maybe big bad Scheid will have one in stock  .
