why is my compreesor so expensive? i was quoted 525.00 for a replacement.thats stupid for a old truck,but why? 1992 12v truck by the way,thanks

People were talking about how expensive the compressors were a while ago; I forget the reasoning.


Altough it makes me wonder how much I can get for my seized one...

just called ORIELLY AUTO $ 320.99 + $ 10.00 core. Yoy may call an ac repair shop and see if anyone can rebuild yours.

I just ordered a a/c compressor with clutch for my 1992 dodge 2500 5,9 ctd off the net from Discount Parts for $265.00 Rebilt or $365 for a new one. Free shipping..No core charge.

My buddy gets a flyer from "Carolina" Tools, Supply or something like that. They have cheap prices on a/c compressors, fuel tanks, radiators, all kindsa stuff!

I got a good used AC compressor I'd probly pull off my 91.5 for the right price;) since I don't use AC.
