HX35 Adjustment Issue

Postby Collers9640 » Sat Mar 20, 2010 8:41 pm

I just installed an HX35 in my truck. It has a wastegate and I'm having a problem with a lack of boost. My H1C was performing better. Can I remove the wastegate and simple plug the hole in the compressor housing?. What is the best thing to do to get the most boost out of my turbo. Also the turbo is out of a 2000 Dodge if that helps.

hey-Hey!!!,
I'd step up to a 14 or 16 cm unwastegated housing before I plugged the 12 cm housing that it came with. The HX35 has a better compressor than either of the H1C's and would expect it to out-boost either of them with a the same exhaust housing, let alone a slightly smaller one.

The plan for my '90 when I get an IC installed is to use an HX35 with a 16 cm housing.
cheers,
Douglas
