Extracting and replacing a twisted power screw...

Postby Begle1 » Fri Jun 22, 2007 5:41 pm

So this guy named Ishmael that I kind-of know was tightening the full power screw on his pump, and it twisted off...

So, how would Ishmael go about extracting the remains of the screw out of the IP? And where could Ishmael find a new screw? Part numbers?

Yer buddy is going to take the top off the pump, and screw it out from the inside! I think you..eeerrr, he tightened it up to the shoulder where the o-ring is. I would suspect the local Bosch dealer is going to have one right on the shelf (maybe!) (hopefully!)
Sorry, I don't have a part #.

But it is available via Bosch. Scheid Diesel can get you one.

Also any pump rebuild shop will have cores laying around and will give you one.

If it's not leaking and it's not running away, Ruprecht could leave it as is.
