Im not picky ill run them all. If it comes to pushing a wheel barrow or using a wore out death trap of a skid steer you can guarantee ill be in the skid steer. Ive been trying to get one at work but they won't go for it. I use a wore out jd970 tractor with a wore out loader.

Haha just saying it doesn't matter to me either but I would think that a bunch of guys who all own purely mechanical trucks would steer toward (no pun) the mechanical bobcat over the digital options.

Ive always been a foot pedal guy. Ive only ran a joystick version at the pgms expo in Louisville every year.

Only thing I really like about foot controls, is they help keep the blood moving in your feet during the winter. Other than that, I prefer hand controls.

The Deere machines we have at work, are strong and push hard, the hand controls are so friggin' stiff!! Wear our your hands out. Like the Case 1840 and 40XT the best. The 40XT is the easiest to work on since you can tip the cab forward and not have to disconnect any controls in the cab. Just raise the arms, undo 2 colts at tilt it up. Can get right at the engine then. :D

I've got a Deere 4475 with foot controls. I thought I would hate them at first since my only previous experience was in a Case, but I have come to like them. As long as the machine is working as it is supposed to, I think that a lot of the perceived lack of fine control with foot controls is due to people having finer motor control skills with their hands than their feet. Also a work boot tends to restrict the amount of feedback the operator is getting more than a glove. They are all good though, I love my machine, it does so much work that I either can't do or don't want to do and all I have to do is sit in the seat and drive it around. I had a Case 646 tractor/loader previously, but I had to get rid of it because it was going to get me into a bad situation. The thing could lift way more than it could safely handle and being 2wd with a non locking differential it was at best worthless, worst, super dangerous. Sold that, bought my "scur-scur" (what my 3 year old calls it) and I couldn't be happier. Congratulations on your machine.

We have had many bobcats. I personally like case the best because ive ran a 75xt since i could crawl in it. We had a t250 with around 2000 hours on it and it was junk. All the hydraulics went out and we had all kinds of problems. As for controls i like hand controls becaise ive never ran foot control. We dig basements with big loaders and grade yards with skid steers. Now we have 2 new cats that are nice and the old 75xt.
