put 1,600 miles on the old girl last week on a trip we took out to the beautiful state of NC, after we got there we spent the hole time
in the mountains, and up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mount Mitchell ( highest point east of the Mississippi) the truck averaged
12.8 mpg with the giant appendage in the bed, and my motorcycle on a rack sticking off the back. the truck grosses 11,450lbs loaded.

That's pretty good mileage considering all the wind resistance from the camper

X2, nice pic! I don't see no motorsickle though! What is it Dar?

Happy Birthday Arnie Layne!

Anybody have poly mounts and went back to regular ones? My darn truck is vibrating like a SOB and I'm almost convinced it's the mounts making me feel every little thing. Can you get regular mounts at the autoparts or are they a dealer only thing?

So. Interesting new development on my turd. Hit the turn signal switch, and the wipers come on. It does it even if I push it closer to the column, away from the wiper switch. Its getting annoying.

Oh, and I still hate drum brakes. Had the drum off the pass side again, for 4th time. More self adjuster issues. The disc swap is looking better and better.

I'd put money on it Pete! The poly doesn't absorb shock like the rubber does. I need to find out on new rubber ones myself. I hate vibrations from all that either!!

I looked around online, I think they are a dealer thing. I'll call tomorrow and find out if the local place can get them or not.

It works too! But they're just as hard as the poly mounts.

Hockey pucks would do it. Just have to drill them

On another note there was a bunch of water in jaegers front diff. (Wheel bearings, and axle u-joints look good though) the vibration is still there. Also the .9 housing on the 80 perks it up nicely on the low/mid end

Found a p/n for Daystar, but looks like it was discontinued last year. May need to resort making them out of heavy rubber big truck mudflaps, or tires.

Dar, I am taking possession of my brothers 2009 Kawasaki KLX250S this spring, less than 1000 miles on it. I haven't been on a bike much since I was 20, figured it would be a good bike to ride back and forth to work. I was looking at other dual purpose bikes and he offed his up...too good of a price to turn down.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing that pic before! (now  )

I'm chasing a 1989 Kawasaki ZX 10. Nice clean bike. Guy started at $3400 in the spring, and now it's down to 2300. I'd like to get it for 18 or 1900, we'll see. It's not really what I want, I'd prefer a naked bike like a ZRX 11 or 1200, or a Suzuki Bandit, but the price is really right on this ZX 10. If the guy had a clue he would have e-bayed it in the spring and got his money out of it. Oh well, his loss!
