Nice. I wish I knew more about the effects of different lifts, and durations, and lobe separation angles, and whatnot

I went ahead and ordered fittings for The Roo Hunters fuel system. Though she's still buried in the snow, so the fixing still won't happen right away

It's the $60 for a not worn out truck that scares me!

My problem is that none of them stock really do anything for me. O always want to switch things up. I told my buddy I'm using the Dodge Dash in my Ford if I can. The look on his face was priceless.

There I fixed it for you Pete.

If they were only $60. I know most of you would be driving one.

$12k for a half worn out truck?

Ever tried buying a cr? Around here you'll pay $25k for a half worn out truck...........that needs $3000 injectors and a transmission, and an entire front end the day you buy it.

If it is less than that, most likely it needs an engine because jo schmo was too cheap to fix the broken injectors and now it has more blow by than a 12 million mile semi.

Prices are different down here, sometimes by a lot. Cummins powered trucks are way cheaper than comparable chevy or ford.
There's one guy I know in particular that's finding the new tread of the overpriced used market unbelievable. He just bought himself a used duraslack with 200k on it. Gave 16k for it.......and a month later needs injectors and a turbo. The turbo is shot because ol flat biller previous owner broke the crankcase vent T that feeds The turbo. This let it suck bunches of dirt in and kill the compressor.
The absolute cheapest I can get a reman turbo for is 1k$ the injectors are 225$ a piece (X8) and if it needs a CP3 that's another 500$. That 3300$ in parts and another 1150$ in labor to install all that...if you don't break off any of the stainless bolts off in the cross over pipes coming from the exhuast manifolds. They'll cost 70$ a hole to remove with a carbide drill bit.
That is a pile of schity deal right there.

Pete I don't ever see myself purchasing new, hell I can't even get myself to buy a gas burning half ton even remotely new, much less diesel power. Times are crazy. It's almost insane that folks pay more for transportation than they have in a home (down here). 12years ago I gave 80k for 16 acres,1800sqft house, barn and one side shied. 6yrs later I refinanced to buy another 40acres of adjoining property for the tune of 60k.
So no I ain't buying a new truck

I have several friends looking for trucks now and even though I don't like them, I advise them to buy the newest half ton Chevy gasser they can afford. There is safety in numbers. Seems like if you do injectors, a turbo, and pump "tuning" on a 12v it's automatically a $10k truck regardless of the condition of the body. Granted that's an asking price. I don't know what they are getting.

Ellis those land prices are crazy. There's 2.5 acre lots down the road from me. From the road going back to the woods they go $39,900, $49,900, $59,900, $69,900, and $89,900 in the back over looking the creek. Three of them have sold in the past few years.
