The women are the problem. When you have 3 and 2 are in car seats, there is a problem.

I was selling it because I had a lead on a mint body. Guy still wants $4k for a truck with a rod knock. I passed. I am throwing money into my truck and calling it good.

Eventually I want a GMT400 or GMT800 Suburban with a 12v or CR dropped in.

Okay so does anyone know what I would need to hook a kickdown cable from my 47rh to my 24v?

I really like our 08 Caddy, the 900 platform is pretty nice. I would like the 'one year only' 2009 Chevy Tahoe with the 403hp 6.2L/6L80 combo  The Caddy is AWD, but (I feel like) it needs a selectable transfer case. Too bad GM didn't put that 6.2 in a Suburban, only options are a Escalade ESV or a Denali :?

I'd love a 900 but they are kinda pricey. Then again, my wife found an 08 with 114k miles for $12k... We paid $10k last year for our Subaru with 89k miles.

I've been noticing the increased popularity of the led light bars. Even bought some led fog lights and some work lights for the rear of the dodge. They are bright as hell and I like them.
One thing I have pondered tho......why in the hell would you mount a huge light bar over the top of your windshield?
With them being so damn bright......wouldn't that kill your view out past your hood? It makes zero sense to me.

I remember back in the hey day of chrome roll bars in the back of 4x4 pickups, with the gigantic KC lights. Those where bright too,but at least the shined over the cab and past the hood.....not turning your windshield into a mirror.

Well by this time tomorrow I will be holding my second child! There were complications with our first child so they did an ultrasound last week to estimate the size of the baby. It was already estimated 9 lbs at 38 weeks and since my wife is so small they recommended a c-section. So it is scheduled for tomorrow morning!

The ones we used at the power plant had a fairly narrow vertical beam, even with white trucks, the glare was barely noticeable. I don't remember the brand, but they were very high dollar, well over $1k. We used them for all the night time duties...and other shenanigans. I'm not a huge fan of the "top the cab" fad of mounting them unless used alot, like how we did.

That's exactly how The Roo Hunter was when we bought it 10 years ago Ellis. Though the previous owner had the 5 roll bar lights, and 2 bumper lights tied into the stock high beam circuit, and kept burning out relays. We ended up taking the lights off, and adding a relay for the bummer lights (added a floor switch for that, so they'll come on either by the floor switch or high beam switch) then after I toasted the second bumper hitting a Ford Edge there hasn't been any extra lights on the truck. I do however plan on adding some of the larger rectangular work lights to the bumper I built, and adding a couple light bars to the roll bar when funds allow.

In other news I'm getting very close to being an actual home owner. Just needs to do a few more pieces of paperwork, and little details before moving in

I find the light bars are a fad just like plasti-dip and the stupid offset rims with low profile tires. I'm all for extra lighting, but having used a Go-Light, the 360* turning spot/flood lights you see on county and power trucks, as well as both high and low count led rectangular work lights, I see no need for a giant led light bar across the bumper or roof.
I've contemplated adding some small rectangular led lights to my dually, mainly as a work light for the bed, even thought one off each mirror mounted in such a way that it lights up the blind spots up front while wheeling, or just using the truck at night.
Other than the price, I've got 2 Grote 3 bulb led lights on my skid steer, mounted forward. They light sthi up, there's no shadows, no blind spots. Just do see the need for a giant led bar

Ellis, thoe high mounted LED bars are a big thing in the off-road and rock crawling communities. Mounted high and pointed just ahead of the hood helps see directly in front of you and over a bigger area than bumper mounted ones.

However, these big LED lightbars on street driven trucks are usually mounted on the dirty money big tipped no fat girls allowed cabs that sport stretched tires over wide wheels.
