I went to a lot of auctions as a kid, but never got into it until about 5 years ago I went to an auction and got some great deals on stuff. I got a wagon running gear for $90 and a 60 gallon air compressor with a new pump on it for $35. Since then I try and make a point of hitting a couple auction and sales a year. I don't always find stuff, but I do enough of the time to make it worth the effort.

BTW...did you know snap on sells the 36" 3/8" drive extension I got today for $100. Wow.

I don't go to a lot myself. When I do go I'm amazed at the prices idiots pay for stuff, many times I have seen people pay more than they can buy something new for! Deals can be had, but you need to be awake and pay attention to what stuff is worth.

Yeah, that sounds about right! Makes the whole pile worth while. Want to sell anything? ;)

Nope. I only buy what I can use. (You can never have to many extensions.) I've never gotten into the buying to resell thing. I've seen people buy stuff for way to high prices too. I make a point to buy only what I can use and things I have an idea what they go for new otherwise you can spend to much really fast.

Btw... I just noticed that I joined here a week after you did, but you have nearly 10,000 posts more than I do...how does that work?

So my sister had her graduation party for finishing university today (technically she finished Wednesday, but wanted to reaffirm ages days. I cooked her supper Wednesday as kind of a private celebration) but anyways the party started fairly early with family, potluck style, then around 8:30-9 more of her friends showed up. For whatever reason I became very uncomfortable being around that many people. Like really uncomfortable, so I left. Maybe it was just how different all her friends are from me that did it, but I felt somewhat anxious with that much noise.

nothing like a timing belt going on an 03 neon...another project I didn't want. wish it had the 2.4 in it instead of the 2.0. Looks like I get to do another head\valve replacement on the dumb thing. 40-45k on timing belt, was a gates belt. not sure why it went, I was going to replace it at 50k but looks like I should have done it sooner....

Hea DF I bet you got a water pump about gone and not leaking. Seen that on a couple of 2.0's. The pumps were not leaking just turning hard. Wore the belts right out.

Could be, I replaced that when I done the belt and last head. The whole upper end and oil pump has 40k on it. I need to jack the car up high enough to get it slid out now. I'll check it over and see if i can figure it out.
