I have been buying cat batteries for everything. 3 year warranty. Two group 31 battery fired the tractor every time. Plus running electric steering and electric water injection pump with no alternator. Makes me happy anyhow. The dodge has one for it if I ever get it together.

Speaking of the truck. I got in a parts hanging mood and tried to install my nice new to me fenders the other day. Guess what this guy did. Bought fenders for the 80 and back body. So fenders no fit. So if anyone needs a really nice set of early fenders I have two good ones. Inside has been cleaned primed and painted black. Who has the best new fenders that don't charge an arm and a leg to ship them?

2 degrees out this morning and I really didn't think the truck was going to start. She cranked really slow and after the third cycle of the grids it caught and fired off.

Aftermarket repops. It takes a lot of work to get them to line up good. When I reassembled my truck the right fender dropped right on. It was a new factory fender. The left was a repop I found out. I fought that fender for a couple of days before I got it lined up good as it would go. Its still not where I would like it. I would need to do a bunch of grinding on the mounting holes to get it better.

The repops are wavey across the top surface you see when setting in the driver seat.

Wavy tin? That'd be the last straw for me lol. I could deal with some drilling and grinding to get things lined up, but bondoing new tin to make it look straight..might as well fix the old tin..at least in my case. On another note, I tried to post pics here for about two hours a couple nights ago, just won't friggin work for me. You would think one could post pics from an iPad. Must be the operator. I got the copy img code part, then you have to post or paste to a reply box, or something? And that's where I am stuck.

Try to insert a picture here using the IMG links from Photobucket or what ever site you are using. If it isn't right, someone will correct it. Then you can quote their post and see the correct way.

So I'm in gun mode now,the pump thing is pissing me off to much for me to deal with so im going to play with a firearm. I order a complete lower assembly from palmetto state armory and picked it up yesterday. I really just wanted to see what their quality was like in the fit and finish aspect. Boy howdy it's nice, very nice....in fact so nice I went ahead and ordered an upper assembly (barrel and upper receiver) after about 2hrs of ownership of the lower. I'll have less than 600 in a complete ar platform rifle that rivals the fit and finish of any upper crust ar. I've held guns that cost 4times that much that wasn't as nice. Definitely better than a walmart sold gun (dpms, colt or bushmaster)

Just picked up a Universal M1 carbine myself. Traded an old Marlin 30-30 for it. I know Universals get a bad rap for quality, but Numrich carries all the spare parts that are prone to breaking. Besides, I wanted something that would take some abuse, float around behind the seat, take when scouting new places, cutting wood, etc.

So since we are talking about guns who are carries and what do you carry? I'm going to be getting my concealed carry and looking for something nice that won't break the bank go carry. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying this shortly.

I don't like 40cal pistols....at all. They're right there with boats to me. It wants to be a 45 so bad that it makes all the noise and recoil with the ballistics of a 9mm with a decent projectile.
I know many people like them but not me.

If I where to buy a new carry pistol,it would be another 9mm. Controllable round in a uncontrollable situation. Right now it's a Taurus millinium. The brand nazis hate the brand but I've had absolutely zero issues.

Oh and that's high on that pistol. Especially by the time you ship it and local ffl fee.

They are not far from me and will be who I deal with probably. I'm not a big 9mm fan after shooting several.
