No extra cash for alot of first genners, plus not much new under the sun. Turbos have gotten better over the last several years, but on the fuel side.....has much really changed since 2006?

We all love the trucks, but since it's not like they're making any more of them or anything, I think the traffic on the 1stgen forums will keep slowing down. Might as well get the flatbill out and keep messing with the common rail stuff. :P

Once I get the crew together I'll start worrying about performance. Performance stuff mean nothing if the truck is in a million pieces

They're usually worn by city kids that blow smoke everywhere in their diesel trucks. They think it's stylish. I have no idea why someone wouldn't bend the bill of their hats.

Hell I don't have enough money to go fast because it's going to every thing else. Property taxes, income taxes,insurances,etc..... My bank account srinks horribly this time of year.

Even if I was to try again for power....pulling power, all it does is tear schit up. Apparently I'm the only nut here that actually overloads and works my truck to the point your constantly eating ujoints, wearing out tires. Crap I use to put 30 to 35k a year on my junk, now all it does is pull.

If anyone cares about it the 82 will be getting more special treatment after my pump playing is done.

It makes me sick guys buy these nice trucks and then paint all the chrome black. Besides the 2.5"-3" stacks everything was rattle canned black and pealing off. I did go see American Sniper though which is a great movie.

Same here. My 1st gen ran awesome empty. 5000 lbs, almost 300 hp, and a nice automatic. My biggest problem was overwhelming the cooling system. It got hot in a hurry. And it wouldn't stop worth a plug nickel. They're awesome toys, but my truck has to work. Maybe I should have left it stock

There's nothing I dislike more than seeing first gens with original chrome grills painted black or color matched

No,my schit stops fine.....in the summer. In the winter you have to be selective when stoping. No touch it then let go and touch it again. The booster seal around the rod shrinks or something in the cold and you loose the vacuum quickly from mashing the peddle to much.
But boy howdy when you have vacuum  I haven't fixed it cause I don't want the same problem you others have....plus I want to dig up a hydro boost system.

The RC has better brakes than the 06. It pulls to the right though, I think it may be in the line itself.

That's what I thought at first when I saw it in the lot but I'm pretty sure it was just spray paint. It was flacking off and scratched. Guy got all pissy when I asked him why he had such small stacks. I was told it was a diesel thing I wouldn't understand. That's when I fired up the Duck and said Okay.
