Well, I am a little more comfortable with what I gave for it today, to begin with I couldn't roll the number off the tongue very well. I gave $8,000 for it
, the guy wanted $9,000. It was optioned about as exactly as I would have ordered it, colors and all. It's never been smoked in and the interior only needs detailed. It has never been wrecked (amazing), original paint with no peeling, no rust anwhere to be seen except a little surface on the roof from the Florida winter sun. Pretty amazing for a truck that called Duluth, Minnesota home for 15 years. This was the truck for me.
Its about 10 foot away perfect. Cons: The lift pump started leaking on the way home, the rear pinion seal went out, and the headlight switch had me sweating bullets the last 50 miles. The truck had been setting in a climate controlled building since September and hadn't run more than 100 miles in a 24 Hour period since 2009 or longer. The bumpers and grille aren't quite as nice as the rest of the truck so some parts swapping will be in order.
Tonight tried to start it cold but the crapped out lift pump helped it loose prime, it tries to start but won't quite go, have to pull a lift pump off another motor later in the week.
I think with a good buffing, a little dupli color, and some new trim parts, this will be a truck that is beyond nice for most.
