I'll prolly be banished for this but, watching work stock trucks around here is like watching grass grow. Every Tom Dick and Harry has one that he thinks is the best truck out there. After being on a tractor with a bit of hp, there is nothing that compares. I think my favorite class is the light pros. Hoping to one day be able to run in that class. Not gonna hold my breath. Just to be in the class you need a $250k+ tractor. 540 cubic inches at least a 4.1 charger and open rpm. Most with the money are moving up towards 5" chargers now.

Are you lucky enough to still have the power window/lock switch cover still in one piece Ellis?

Nope it's mostly there.....the bottom edge is missing. No biggie tho,I can find those pieces easy enough. People love fords down here, that's my main reasoning for pulling the trigger on a ford. I can actually buy parts here!

Ve pumped 24v or p pumped 12,nv4500, factory rear (probably 4:11s).

One goal.....work truck. It'll probably wind up with a flat bed as well. No fiberglass fenders to worry over plus I can get side boxes and have a but load of storage with and full bed to fill. I might even go full retard and throw on some stacks

Hell I may scrap the thing and keep the wheels....someone is suppose to be getting me adapters for my truck!

That piece is dam near Impossible to find. It was only used in the xlt from 94.5-97 and no longer available. If you find them around you grab them.

If I don't find it out here then it can be made out of oak or cherry. It's not a complicated piece and it could tie in if one made the little cat crap trim pieces that cover the dash screws.
Really now I'm kinda considering stealing the wheels  and pedaling the rest

So for we have any performance gas engine guys on here? I'm feeling the urge go build a turbo small block 5.2 fuel injected for the Duck. Ive been looking at the megasquirt 3 standalone controller for more tuning options. I didn't know of anyone else messed with this stuff.

My attitude at this point is gas jobs are terrible, and with the horsepower I prefer they're absolute pigs. Shoot, my 550+ whp 4th gen gets way better mileage than my brothers 385whp stroker hemi while being more practical

I have not, but I'd like to learn. I had a FI 318 out of the truck your cab came from and gave it away for $25. It was complete, computer and all. I have a weird hang up about 460 BBFs. I've never dealt with one or drove one but I want one.

If it was chevy I could help you out.....but mopar stuff, nope other than it either works or doesn't.

I've heard from several that the Holley projection stuff is horrible for mileage and doesn't do nearly what a carb will do in the higher rpm range. Most of them bitch about them leaning out on the top side....that could just be the system or poor tuning on the operators part.

Me personal,if you want to go fast and have a truck with nuts....go new school carb and ditch the efi dream. It may be the schit for diesel but blows Harry balls for gas stuff.

And before it's said that all the new stuff does good (camero mustang and misc dodge junk),think about the amount of tuning and part there, then compare that to the average back yard mechanics ability and money. The two won't even out.

If you can afford it, go MS3x. So much more tuning options available. And a Innovative Wide band O2 sensor kit. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com
