Think it has alot to do with location. I parted 2 trucks 2-3 years ago and still have crap laying around from it. Had a hard time selling any if it, cause nobody understands the cost to ship stuff, or they expect it within an hours drive. I had more people back out cause they had to drive 3-4 hours for stuff. I'd say try to sell it whole, cause if you factor your time in removing parts, boxing them up, or waiting around for people to show up, your way ahead to just unload it whole

That's my worry on parting it out with parts left over and dealing with people. My worry selling it whole is its a rust bucket....bad....and from what I've been seeing is people want rust free trucks for 2-3k and I have to get 2700 out of it or I'm just going to keep it. Not worth it to me to sell it for any less when I know what I have in parts. And what I can use them for. Neighbors aren't an issue as the truck is at my parents farm lol. Mom would be the issue lol. I'm just ready to get rid of projects.

It's 3.55, no abnormal wear that I recall when I changed the lube 5 years ago. Doesn't make any noise.

See, here in Michigan, that's the going rate for a rusty 1stgen. I paid $2900 a few years back for a w250, 175k on the clock, auto with 3.55 gears. Threw a flatbed on the back, patched the floor, couple decent front fenders and drove it daily for 3 years before the trans gave out plowing. I'd keep it and see if you cant find a use for it, or just wait and trade it for something else your interested in

Yea its true I'd like the D70, but It'd be neat if you could keep the truck and make it into something you love.

How many gph does a 300 hp or less 6bt need intermittedly? Looking at filters, all the ones I want/looking at have a max recommended flow rate of 30 gph.....

Ok... Brakes... They are currently defeating me.

Symptoms:
first time you put your foot on the brakes the pedal goes straight to the floor. Pump it 2 to 3 times more and you can get a decent pedal, not good but decent. leave your foot there and the pedal slowly but steadily goes to the floor, bleeding off like there is a hole in the line.

absolutely no fluid making it to the ground anywhere.

So I started off by replacing the master cylinder. No change

Next.. bypassed the ABS valve on the rear frame including a new line from the proportioning valve in the front to the rear axle. NO CHANGE!

All new brakes were installed in the back when I swapped in the dually axle. And a new right front caliper was installed a few months ago when i snapped off a bleeder trying to resolve this issue the first time.

Only thing not new is the left front caliper...

Any suggestions?!?!?!?

And yes I did bench bleed the master cylinder and bleed the brakes... multiple times....

You either still have air in it or the master is still bad. Or both. Rebuilt master cylinders for these trucks suck. Many people have put them on and had problems. I remember 1 guy changed his 3 or 4 times before he got a good one.

I'm with Pete....I'd say bad master still...if it slowly goes to the floor after you pump it up its the master. Once its pumped up it shouldn't fall unless there is a leak.

You suck! J/K, I never seem to get that lucky at sales or auctions. Sometimes I get a deal on something, but never a great deal like you got.
