Since you guys seem to like carnage.

We lost a bearing on our vibrator (easy, Pete) this morning, I grabbed a few pics of the dissasembly:

Looking down through the screen deck. Those 2 tubes with the buckets under them each hold a 1500lb eccentric that causes the shaking.

And the aftermath:

Here's one of the rollers from it next to my new front wheel bearing:

And here's the new one, freshly pressed in:

I almost feel bad singling Pete out now.

Almost

Also, sorry for the crappy pics, but the Otterbox never comes off the phone when I'm at work, let alone when I'm 30ft above the ground. In the first pic, that tube with the orange cover over it is the upper housing. The bearings went out in the lower housing, so we only drained that one.

Shoot, my wife sells bigger vibrators than that! ;)
I just can't figure out why she won't let me go to some of the parties she puts on. :?

By the way, I'd call that a shaker tray. Before you start calling me a pervert again!

Those angular contact bearings can be a pain to get on the shaft, on anything but a vibrator, loose on the shaft tight in the
housing,

NOTE.....the FAG bearing on a vibrator shaft......odd don't ya think.

Yeah, I already yelled at my cousin for graffitiing his name on that bearing.

The Box they're shipped in says FAG really big on the side. I'm glad the office-man has to talk to the delivery guys, I don't think I could even sign their paper after I had to walk that into the garage.

Also, they have a brass sleeve that goes between them and the shaft. It's almost a drop on fit, just a couple of small hammers and it'll go on without pressing.

Had a little hiccup on one of our Macks today.

This is in the first reduction section of the front rear end, right after the power divider.

We just had some work done I that rearend, and they put in a reman 3rd member. Dunno how the warranty chat is going to go with them, but this happened about 300 yards from our office on a gentle downhill right. I don't see driver abuse being the fault.
