Wish I had the dough for this one...one of the few I've seen worth considering a 5-digit price tag on...:)

cheers,
Douglas

I'd love to have that truck. Any idea what he is asking for it?

Not yet...as much as I like it I am having trouble with the 'over the top' feel that truck has.

Now come on. You know you want that tricked out getto glider. It will grow on you.

It is almost over the top. But almost anything is compared to what mine looks like.

Awright, finally got out to see it. It suffered from the typical clear-coat stuff, and with a red truck it was evidently bad enough to justify a trip to something inexpensive to spray some more red onto it. Poor maksing job, and rampant overspray...and fish-eyes all ova the hood. Some sort of trailer brake install that disables the anti-lock( or at least the lights come on when you push the pedal. Truck stops fine though. It is a solid body everywhere I looked. It alledgedly has steeper gears installed so it oculd drag a 5th through the mountains. I did not examine the claimed paperwork documenting this...the hood sticker says 3.5 gears. By the time I heard this I was pretty much not interested in paying what he is asking...maybe I'll go back in a bit. He's an estate sifter, and that truck isn't the only thing I'd consider buying from him. It lit right up when I twisted the key, and made 20 psi of boost according to its gage. Pyro installed, with warning not to exceed 900F...didn't look again to see if it was a post-turbo stinger. Tamper-proof missing from the full-power screw, but intact on the high-idle. Trans shifts well, and OD works( as does its switch ).
cheers,
Douglas

Sounds like someone was working it over to try and make big profits. All the paint problems by itself could run into quite a bit of money if you have to hire it out.

I know the feeling. I have no problem walking away from something if it doesn't feel right.
