I guessed KTA was in his mid 40's, with as much experience as he has with our trucks. Goes to show you never can tell! Sorry Brian!

It's not age, it's experience I've discovered.
Mr.Ellis, remember that, you'll see it again soon. ;)

Richard here. I'm 40, married with two great kids and like other folk, was my dad's assistant shade tree mechanic from the time I could carry a wrench. My dually is my second diesel, (1987 Suburban 1st one) and the first one I've modded. Spent the last 15 years in the Marine Corps as a comm guy and that's where I starting learning about and liking diesels. 5 years left 'til retirement and probably we'll retire back here in Texas. Great idea to start this thread.

Thanks :D
Its true I work all the hours I can and I haven't spent much on my Dodge. I spent way too much on my PowerStroke! Soon the Dodge will be my main project and I'm going to fabricate parts to make extra money.

With 80K worth of colege loans, its hard to understand how anyone my age would be on the positive side of making money, but thats probably just because there are so many people in the same situation as I am (around my area at least).

pissing it all away isnt quite the story

I hunt and traget shoot really like skeet and combat handgun stuff, hike and canoe and still do some easy rock climbing now and then. My 93 is my first diesel and I think it will be an unending project, its lots of fun suprising later model stuff. I've learned alot on this site and usually checkin daily. Currently located in Beaumont, Tx.until the wife retires in the next year or so normal home New Port Richer, Fl.

Alright figured I'd throw mine out there and beat Pete. 28yrs old teach Industrial arts, run a diesel performance buisness along with a biodiesel co-op. If that doesn't keep me busy enough I do construction on the side/some custom furnature. Hopefully in the next few years have a machine shop up and running but with the economy and all the teaching jobs cut who knows. Grew up racing dirt track cars and hunting white tails. I use to be big into jeeps all through high school until I bought my 93 cummins and that led me to my 05, 98, 92, 90, 93. Worked through college in construction and as a mechanic until I landed my teaching job 5 years ago. Oh and I forgot to add I got maired a little over a year ago, bought a house and have three dogs 2 pitbulls and a puggle.

Allright, Mr. Ellis, I'll do it! :P
I'm Pete, the scourge of 1stGen! As one of my good friends said, I'm 19 with 30 years of experience. I have a wife and two youngins, 6 and 9. Both are red headed terrors, I have no idea where they get it from..... I've been wrenching on stuff since I was in my teens, 1st motorcycles and then dodges. I had to make everything go faster, stock just didn't cut it! I'm a road tech for the local Case Industrial dealer, loaders, backhoes, excavators and such. We also have Doosan, Talbert trailers and Wirtgen products, Hamm rollers, Wirtgen milling machines, Vogele pavers and now Kleeman rock crushers.
My cousin bought my truck new in '92, I drooled on it until '01 when he sold it to me. It was stock for about a year, then I joined TDR and I've been "improving"it ever since!

Hey Dar thanks for the kind words. I was in Illinois again back in Sept, picked up an old Suzuki GS850 on ebay, and would have stoped by but the ride home started at 0 dark 30 in the morning and it was a work day. Rode the darn thing 652 miles first day. For those of you who have not met Dar yet, besides being pretty handy , he is one standup guy. Glad to have met you Dar.
