2012 Chat /BS Thread

Postby PToombs » Sun Jan 15, 2012 6:13 pm

HI fellas, I've seen this on other sites, and have been thinking about it. I'm one of the worst offenders, so I thought I'd start one here. This thread is to chat about things, ask how people are doing, and general bullshirt. It should help to keep the other threads cleaner and on topic.

So let fly! ;)

You wouldn't have to worry about it if you were on BF3 right now. Havoc and I got a couple of European squeakers in my party that I'm listening to...

What a gamer! :P

Jon, not much, way under normal. We started with rain thursday night, turned to snow between 6 and 7 am, and got about 4-6 inches. Then another 4-5 friday night. Almost a foot on the ground now, and it's supposed to go up to 40* on tuesday again. Normally we have about 120-140 inches by now. Not on the ground, but offically.

I wish it would snow here crazy weather. We got a dusting the other day right after I knocked the rear window out of my work truck. Nothing like removing and installing the V-Box again. It's usually snowed a few times here.

Snow has dusted us a couple times here.
I hate the stuff and wish it would never appear again.
Since we haven't had much of a winter here, can we go along with the "Tree Hugger" theory and say that "Climate Change" (Global Warming) IS real?

Naaaahhhhhhh, those people are always wrong. Idiots.

Preach on! We have had maybe a total of 5-6" this season. 2 "storms" and 1 dusting. The second snowfall is melting off today because it's 45*.

I like the cold because the ground freezes (making it suitable to drive tractors and semis on it at work), but snow gets in the way. It looks nice for a day or two and then it gets nasty :puker:

We have had next to no snow all winter so far. We got maybe an inch or two over the weekend. Even while at work in WV it has been pretty sparce.

We have snow finally!!! Seattle area.. As for me the last couple months have been hell... I use to chew a can of tobacco a day for the past 20+ years. When I decided to quit I had no idea what my body would go through. I have had some of the worst side effects I think a person could have. My anxiety level hit 9-10 on a scale of 1-10 and I thought I was going to die at times. Two days ago I took my last dip and was down to as little as one dip a day for over a week. I can say it really sickens me now looking at a can of chew as every time I hit it up it would just bring back the anxiety a few hours later. I am still having a few issues in the AM and PM but make it through a full day of work.

And pig crap reaks of money to me  I'm obviously a farmhand, not an owner ;) My boss figured it up and he's working for a dollar an hour doing pig work. Needless to say, he's phasing out

SNOOT, I hear ya on the chew thing, I started chewing back in 2003 when I was in Iraq, and haven't stopped since. The girlfriend I have now is on me alot to quit, but not in a bad way, she doesn't nag or anything  I tell ya what, that first 24 hours after not having any plays hell with me too  and I can usually get through a weekend, but as soon as I get to work, I need one something fierce, just to deal with the two window-lickers in the bay next to mine...

no snow in the boston area yet...lots of guys playing broke around here beacuse their winter $$$ isnt coming in... expecially the guys that invested money last year thinking we were going to get hit hard again.

in other news, another subject thats been nagging me... I've been on the hunt for another 1stgen to turn into a neer-stock daily driver truck...something that i can wash, wax, vaccume...and that dosnt have holes in the floor. Had a kid offer me a REALLY clean dually single cab 91d350 about amonth ago, came up with a killer price of 2800$ and then he dissapeared.... ive been calling and texting day after day for about a month with no avail. apparently the father (who owns it) and son (who drives it) arnt getting along, son thinks its his, but dad bought it. Dad is sick of his son's BS and wants to sell it and the kid ran off with the truck.... just my luck

rant/vent over

OH YEAH.... and..... FYI, once you pull the bottle of Balieys Irish cream thats jamming up the hot/cold blend door.... the heat in my truck works GREAT...DOH
