hubba-Hubba!!! I'd love to buy that one, and leave her for when my current 1990 succumbs to MI road salt( perhaps in another decade or so ). I would probably put enough miles on him to fend off sitting disease...probably have 10k on it by the time I put it into full time service.
cheers,

I seen that one too, it's missing one crucial part that I need....four wheel drive. Either way, it would make some one a nice ride, barring that there isn't any issues, yeah, it has only 5500 miles, but from what I have seen before with low mileage/low useage equipment and trucks, either they are just fine or that they will turn into a bunch of work from lack of useage

There is a distinctive difference between "new" and low miles. New means all new parts that have not yet been subjected to deterioration due to natural aging put in place by mother nature. The only way to preserve something in new condition is to put in into an artificial environment depleted of oxygen and ozone. I think they have preservation car bags that use low pressure fed nitrogen as an inert gas to displace the oxygen and ozone etc. Low miles will still be subject to all similarly time related deterioration issues such as anything made of rubber deteriorating or any other dry rot issues are taking place. I worked with a fellow who locally bought a very low mileage 1980's truck and paid big bucks for it. Within two years of driving it daily it looked like any other local clunker of its era running around except that it still was low mileage.

I guess my use of the word "new" is misunderstood. i've worked in car dealerships for 20 years and fully understand what a "new" vehicle is. what i was implying is that that truck is a great resource to see and understand what these trucks were built like at the time they came off the assembly line. the inspector's paint marks, the correct bolts, the overspray from the paint, etc. its frozen in time so to speak. i've restored several older mopars (including a rotisserie on a 68 hemi roadrunner) and i can tell you unrestored, low mileage survivors are worth thier weight in gold. a collector should buy that truck and keep it just as is. being put into daily driver use would kill it quick.
