glad you figured it out... Is the pan the issue or did the pick up drop??? I would think if it was the pan that was the issue it wouldn't have primed before fire up.
92 D350 Cab and Chassis. Auto stock, wiring gremlins. 330k miles
92 W250 Ext cab rotted completely out. Auto, pump maxed, 215 ppump nozzles, Denny T2 pin.
85 D350 single wheel, converted to cummins, getrag, turned up 2 turns and afc screw flush.

I primed it before i put it in the truck and when it slipped and sat on the pumpkin it must have pushed it in the rest of the way. Pan was ordered yesterday and should be here today or tomorrow.

Yeah its been a royal pain in the a$$. Next time ill triple measure the pan clearance. Out of all the engines ive built never had so many problems out of one until now.

you have way more patience than me. i'd have blown it up, set it on fire, kicked the owner in the nuts, sold it, or everything combined by now!!

Its all going back together this weekend and its out of here. I came so close to setting it on fire but it sitting so close to my house stopped me.

Well its together and back on the road. Ive put about 40 miles on it and have a slight exhaust leak out of the passenger side doughnut gasket i have to change. It runs pretty good for a GM gasser.
