If you need wiring diagrams PM me and I'll hook you up.

If it were me, I'D
Charge By The Hour, set me a labor hour charge high enough to change his mind or make me comfortable at least!

You wouldn't be screwing him at all. He did that himself by cutting it off in the first place.
In the time I've had my own shop, I've had people tell me all their problems and hardships, like I have none  I've bent and twisted my body and soul to try to HELP them, all while screwing myself
Last 4 years has changed,I've a family,I've bills to pay. I now tell them Shop times 70$ and hour, book times this, if it takes less time I charge less,if it takes more I charge book time ;)
What would a dealer charge, huh

I'm charging him by the hour and not trying to screw him because of work someone else did. He is the type to go out of his way to help when he can. Not many guys you can call on a Sunday and say you are broke down 3 hours away from home will load the truck and come help you load your junk and haul it home in 100 degree weather. He has done this many times and all he ever wanted was his truck fueled back up. I have alldata at work but if I can't find a wiring diagrahm I need I'll let you know.

Well finally got all the parts I needed off this 383 and got it loaded. It's going back to the guy who originally had it built. I'm wating on exhaust manifold gaskets to set the 454 in the truck. I know one thing I'm not as strong as I use to be and need a motor hoist. Lifting motors into trucks by hand is getting old.

No but the look on the neighbors face when he saw me pick that engine up and set in the bed of my truck was priceless. :D I have no idea what it weighs but 6 years ago I could have picked it up with the heads and intake on it too. I couldn't do that today.

I know a guy in his 60's that would put that in by hand complete. He's a scrapper, I'm amazed at what he can pick up, crazy ol' fart!

Sounds like my neighbor, poor old guy can't work a full time job because his wife has alot of health issues, so he scraps anything he can get his hands on in his driveway. Lately, its been electric motors the size of a beer kegs, I seen him load one up a couple days ago to tear it down, I dunno how some people do it...must be that old guy/farmer strength!

My parents next door neighbor is a farmer. His brother in-law is a small fat trucker who helps him haul grain during harvest. You would never know the strength this little fat guy has. 5'6", about 250lbs. I have seen him take a 5lbs sledgehammer buy the END of the 36" handle and rotate his wrist until the sledge barely touched his nose, then let it back down to the ground in a slow controlled fashion. His handshake is not something you want to test.

smallblock on a trailer, that was 20 years ago and three lower discs, i remember that every morning.

Yeah dad was the same way until he tore his rotator cuff and all the muscle/tendons about six years ago. He can't lift squat anymore.
