Andy, you still needing some brackets?
Reason I'm asking is because I'm going to some old yards in the next few days to pick thru some old stuff for an 82 I'm piecing together. I could ask around for whatever you may need, I don't give a lot for chevy stuff
Let me know ;)

Yes I'm still in need of the accessory brackets for it. I found some on ebay but $275 was a bit much i thought.

I spent 5 hours Friday on the phone and couldn't find anything. I did stumble across this though and going to see if it will work for me. http://www.fidnet.com/~harleyms/serpentine%20page.htm

Ok i could use some help with wiring diagrams Mr. Ellis if you could. I found a few unplugged connectors and was hoping you could help me figure out what they are. The first is a 4 wire conector by the trans which i think may be my issue with no speedometer.

Though I'm sure it's nowhere near the same, the lower plugin in your last pic looks just like the plugin for the wire that goes to the start pole on the starter relay.

On our Ford F450... :/

Those two have a distinct charging or starting look to them...

The four wire plug is for the O2 sensor I believe
The black round plug is for the knock sensor
The wire with the ring I can't place. What is the color of the wire's jacket and tracer

Give me the date code on the vin number(10th letter)and engine code(8th letter) I'll load up a diagram for you.

Your correct on the location of the speed sensor. There is a few things you need to get the speedo to work but before I get into it I need the date and engine codes.

Just a heads up if your trying to keep the factory gauges working then all the factory grounds have to be hooked back up. 2 Should be on the rear of the right head and one or two at the water neck on the intake(in factory tbi form) and another was added to the left side of the timing cover on vortec models.

10th letter is a X, 8th letter was a R. It would be awesome if this is just a ground issue. The one wire is purple too. It may be my starter wire i drug out havent checked yet. I also found this and shot them a email to see if it will work.

If its indeed solid purple then it is the starter wire.

Dazed those grounds will need to be found. The most important one is the one that runs down the right side of the factory vortec 350 and attaches right between where the casting for the non ecxitant mechanical fuel pump goes and its plastic timing cover. If your tahoe is 97 or newer you can look on it to see what I'm saying. Without it hooked up the key switch won't work, nor most anything in the dash. The two on the back of the head I spoke of is mainly computer related, which I think you'd need hooked up to get the speedo working.

I'll try and wrangle up the diagrams for you.

The pnly gauges that didn't work after they did the other swap were the speedometer and tach. The only ground i removed was the one from the battery to the block. My tahoe is a 96 vortec so should be the same. I bitched at him the other night for creating this mess.

Well I started making adapter brackets to make the small block serpentine system work on the 454. I got the driver side pretty well done other then some grinding and paint. The driver side one was a biatch to get done and so far the passenger side has been a breeze.
