I really thought about torching it. We all believe it has something to do with the oil filter adapter pis.

The one that was on it. According to a few prople we talked to today there is a gaslet between the adapter and block i dont have. It has all of us stumped including the machine dhop that did my work.

You don't suspect a siht gauge do you, weird that old and now new motor does the same thing. Earlier in this tread you said that you had oil out the pushrods while turning it over.

Because you'll get a fortune out of a really clean Chevy truck with a big block there, or what?

Well screwed with it today some. I found a gasket for that fitting and put it back on and hooked up a mechanical gauge and still no pressure. So someone tell me what I'm missing. Im going to pull the pan and swap another new pump. Im lost and so is everyone else.

Galley plugs behind the cam gear, maybe? Andy, can you barrow and oil pump priming tool from somebody? You could hook a drill to that thing and spin the holy hell out of it to check that pump.

I have one and let it run for 20 minutes while i was looking things over. I sont remember even paying attention to see if there were plugs there. I would think the machine shop would have put plugs in if they weren't there since they plugged every other hole.
