Postby MMiller » Fri Mar 02, 2012 7:09 pm

I talked with DPuckett via texts and they were good after those storms rolled through.

We need to hear from Southern Illinois members. That's where a bad one went through I believe. Dar? Aren't you near Harrisburg, IL? Terre Haute (West Central Indiana) is fine.

I'm half way between Indy and Chicago, the storm missed me by a long shot. Right north of Louisville was hit hard though

They missed me by 2.7 miles, tore up the south end of Harrisburg, were going over to a small town called
Ridgway, they had a 120 yr old Catholic church distroyed, and the main businesses in town were flatened.

we were going to Harrisburg but they have the government in there now so it will take 1/2 a day to get the
paperwork done just so we can help.

we got lucky this time, but it sounds like the storms today done some major damage in KY,TN,AL,IN.

GOD be with all those folks that lost loved ones.

I'm about half an hour away from Louisville, and everything is fine here. It was windy for a bit and it rained like hell for 20 minutes or so, but nothing was damaged and we only lost power for a few hours. Glad to here everyone on here so far is okay, I'd heard on the radio that this was apparently supposed to be one of the worst storms since the 70's.

Nothing got close to this area. Just some light rain and heavy winds. We had gusts in the 60 MPH range after the storm line went threw.

My buddies fiance's family just south of me lost everything. The house, all the barns and most the animals. Two horses and 2 dogs made it. They buried the rest of the horses today. If i heard him right they are still missing a 40' horse trailer.
